Senior Systems Analyst (Life Insurance)

Job Description:
A local Sioux Falls insurance client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Analyst to join our team on a 12 month contract, with a strong possibility of extension. This role will be part of a SAFe Agile Scrum team, primarily focused on maintenance tickets with occasional enhancements. You will be working with their legacy mainframe systems, which support 700,000 policies.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the Agile Scrum team to address maintenance tickets and implement enhancements.
Work extensively with Assembler and COBOL on mainframe systems.
Utilize your expertise in Cyberlife, with additional experience in Life70 and LifeComm being a plus.
Support the modernization efforts; transitioning from legacy systems to the Verisk FAST platform.
Engage in continuous learning and adaptation to new technologies such as Mulesoft.
Required Skills:
Strong experience with Assembler and COBOL.
Background in Cyberlife; experience with Life70 and LifeComm is a bonus.
Experience in the life insurance, financial services, or banking sectors.
Proficiency in JCL, DumpMaster, and other mainframe tools (VSAM, DB2, File-Aid, Expeditor, Endevor, CA-7, PANAPT, $AVRS, SAR, DFSORT, Changeman, SPUFI, ControlM, Abend-Aid, Eclipse, GIT, Bitbucket, IBM WebSphere Server, Aha, Dumpmaster).
Work Environment:
Flexible remote work schedule: Monday-Thursday, 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM; Friday, 7:30 AM – 12:30 PM. All times in CST.
