Job Description:
Will perform and report tests of all complexity levels, as defined by CLIA, on patients of all ages to assist with the routine screening, diagnosis, treatment and management of diseases and injuries; will interpret and correlate test results with disease states and theoretical knowledge, exhibit problem solving skills of a highly complex nature, participate in Quality Assurance, Quality Control monitoring, instrumentation maintenance and troubleshooting. May be required to perform phlebotomy and specimen processing duties and will participate in research, development, education, and technical consultation.Meets Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) guidelines for the complexity of laboratory testing.
Education Qualifications:
Graduate of a four-year degree program in an accredited school of clinical laboratory science, or equivalent discipline.
Licensure/Certification Qualifications:
Certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist (ASCP), Medical Technologist (ASCP), or Clinical Laboratory Scientist (NCA) or equivalent is required within one year from the date of hire. For North Dakota Sites – Current license or provisional license through the ND Board of Clinical Laboratory Practice within 45 days of hire or transfer.
