Service Engineer
Ground Force
RESPONSIBILITIES (include but are not limited to)
Work w/ Engineering & Service teams to engineer repairs to damaged equipment & create drawings to forward to the shop for production (Part Sales).
Develop customized installation instructions for TowHaul Service Technicians and TowHaul customers.
Receive, catalog, and review field requests for modifications to equipment designs with TowHaul product team.
Accompany TowHaul Service Technicians for technical support during unit inspections and site visits.
Work with Service team to develop and update TowHaul Operations Manuals.
Work with Service Team to develop and update Maintenance documentation to customers (PM Schedules, Maintenance Manuals.)
Work with Parts Sales Team to develop and update recommended spare parts lists.
Provide Parts Sales Team with correct replacement parts for specific projects.
Research opportunities within each product line to standardize commonly replaced service items.
Work with Service Team to develop inventory recommendations and optimize stocking strategies.
Implement and carefully document any design improvements needed.
Communicate with the appropriate departments while implementing improvements to ensure a smooth transition.
Update engineering drawings to the most updated and correct format.
Follow all engineering processes in place.
Maintain drawing and documentation standards.
REQUIRED SKILLS

Mechanical aptitude
Excellent communication abilities (written and verbal)
Travel will be required (approximately 15% of job)
Must be flexible and adaptable and able to work with very little supervision.
PREFERRED SKILLS
Hydraulic/Pneumatic systems knowledge
Electrical systems knowledge
PDM/PLM Experience
Experience with Mathcad or MATLAB
Previous experience in a communication-based profession
Language skills (Spanish, French)
ERP system experience (Epicor a big plus)
EDUCATION
Bachelors degree from an accredited university in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or equivalent.
Experience with the following programs:
Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
AutoCAD
SolidWorks
Basic knowledge of welding processes.
Ability to perform hand calculations to analyze engineered solutions.
Organizational skills and the ability to follow and create processes to streamline work.
