Medical Social Worker

Be a Medical Assistant and serve on the MT Youth Challenge Academy team! We are seeking a highly motivated individual with medical expertise to coordinate delivery of medical services to Cadets, and to serve as a resident authority and central point of contact for medical issues. This position maintains confidential health profiles and works directly with contracted medical service personnel to provide health and medical services. Work requires a demonstrated ability to work and engage in diverse working environments. This position is open until filled. The first review of applications will be on Monday, October 28, 2024. Knowledge, skills & abilities: Must ensure the security and compliance with HIPAA standards, maintaining confidentiality at all times. Work requires the knowledge of the principles and practices of emergency medical care, personal health care issues, medical records management, and routine nursing procedures. Must be able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing, maintain effective working relationships with others including strong interpersonal skills required in communicating with at-risk youth. Minimum Qualifications: Two years (2) related medical experience. Preferred Qualifications: Certification as an EMT Must have the ability to perform all duties in a safe manner, following DMA Safety Program and OSHA requirements. Conditions of Employment: Must be a citizen of the United States of America; Must be able to pass background and driving record checks; Must possess or be able to obtain a valid Montana drivers’ license; Must have a good driving record; Must be of sound judgment and good character, as indicated by reference and background checks; Must pass a pre-employment and on-going, random drug screenings.
