Call Center Representative – Communications Unit – Providence St. Patrick Hospital Missoula, MT

The Communication Specialist is at the core of the Answering Service Center and performs services for these multiple hospitals, clinics and physician groups throughout WMR. The Communication Specialist has three primary areas of responsibility:

  • Perform duties as a hospital Switchboard (PBX) operator for multiple hospitals (including all internal departments), clinics, provider practices and groups within the WMR. The Communication Specialist handles customers telephone calls, faxes, paging and messages promptly and courteously in a timely manner.
  • Serve as an After Hours Answering Service for multiple providers, hospitals, clinics and critical service providers within the WMR. Ensure that after-hours patient-to-provider; provider-to-provider calls; and office messages are expedited according to the emergent nature of the call.
  • Coordinate critical communications equipment repair for St. Patrick Hospital providers and staff as well as providers and staff of associated clinics and practices.

Available Opportunities:

  • Per diem, 0.01 FTE (0.4 working hours per week), variable shifts (Not eligible for hiring bonus)
  • Part-time, 0.5 FTE (20 working hours per week), evening shift

Required Qualifications:

  • One (1) year of experience in an office or healthcare setting

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior employment as an operator.
