Planer Production PositionsF.H. Stoltze Land & Lumber, Co is hiring entry level day and swing shift positions in our Planer department. JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Must be 18 years of age and able to ass a pre-employment drug screen and job physical. Ability to work safely, independently and as a team player. DUTIES/TAKS: Under the supervision of the Planer Foremen. Entry level Planer personal learn to operate various machine centers to produce dimensional and board lumber products as well as performing cleanup of wood waste for dust and fire abatement. This is a entry level position all training is on the job specific. Physical Demands and Work EnvironmentThe physical demands and work environment are representative of a typical sawmill environment. The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. Noise level is moderate to high depending on the area of the mill, ambient temperatures and wood waste / dust exposure while performing the duties of this job, the employee is often required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to grasp, lumber or machinery controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, and the ability to communicate with other personnel. Requires close vision, distance vision, and depth perception. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.
