Job Title: Lab AssistantJob Description
Join a company that produces at-home testing kits. As a Lab Assistant, you will handle urine, blood, and fecal samples. Responsibilities include opening and sorting samples, collecting samples, inputting information into the lab information system, and verifying patient information. Additional duties involve cutting and coating kit samples, labeling, and prepping samples for technicians, and entering data into the system post-testing. Key tasks: – Receive and quarantine all specimen packages – Open and sort specimens – Check specimens for acceptance criteria – Separate and properly code all non-testable specimens – Enter and verify all specimen information into the LIS (Laboratory Information System) – Assist in strip manufacturing duties, including cutting and preparing strips for coating – Receive and log in any deliveries of laboratory supplies – Assist in manual entry and verification of laboratory results – Notify supervisor of any possible deviations from documented procedures – Perform other duties as assigned by the Laboratory Manager and/or Laboratory Supervisor

Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in Hoffman Estates, Illinois.
Work Environment
Training is Monday to Friday from 8 am to 5 pm. After training, the schedule will be Tuesday to Saturday, 3 pm to 11:30 pm on weekdays, and 12 pm to 8:30 pm on Saturday. The work environment includes an office building with a call center, laboratory, and clerical center. Dress attire includes long pants, a t-shirt, and closed-toed shoes. Lab coats will be worn when handling specimens.
