Global Parts Pricing Solutions Director

The Global Parts Pricing team is hiring a Pricing Solutions Director to support our mission of developing and executing a simplified and effective merchandising framework through close collaboration with aftermarket business partners. As a Process Owner for the global framework, you will lead a global organization responsible for creating consistent go to market pricing approach across regions and segments that are compliant with global standards. In addition, this position works closely with senior and executive management within aftermarket divisions to ensure collaboration across the enterprise for pricing pull through in support of profitable services growth.

What You Will Do:

Responsible for sales variance management, parts merchandising framework, regional & managed accounts price plans communication, dealer pricing capabilities development, sales variance forecasting and collaborative development of sales variance standards.

Execution and governance of parts sales variance programs enabling profitable services growth in conjunction with segment partners.

Development of regional merchandising priorities to support enterprise sales and profit goals in close collaboration with senior leadership in the industry teams including Vice President and Regional Segment Managers.

As an organization, the Pricing Solutions team works closely with their counterparts in product pricing to drive standardization of revenue management processes (pricing and merchandising) that are globally consistent. Through close working relationships the team will complete the revenue management role seamlessly, supporting end to end business decisions.

Lead a diverse, global team and build an organizational culture that encourages continuous improvement, collaboration, excitement, commitment, and a sense of urgency toward business success.

What You Have:

Customer Focus & Value Selling : Knowledge of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions and ability to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions. This includes knowledge of the principles and practices for selling products, technology and services; ability to provide overall product/service ‘value’ and to differentiate support offerings that address clearly understood customer needs

Decision Making & Critical Thinking : Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze solutions and reach productive decisions based on informed judgement

Negotiating : Knowledge of successful negotiation concepts and techniques; ability to negotiate successfully across the organization and with external vendors and clients in a constructive and collaborative manner

Relationship Management : Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors and peers

Strategic Thinking : Knowledge of the importance of the “big picture” thinking and planning; ability to apply organizational acumen and competitiveness to identify and maintain focus on key success factors for the organization

Top Candidates will also have:

Bachelor’s degree preferred

Experience leading a global team and working across a matrixed organization

Knowledge of aftermarket, pricing function and merchandising

Experience in leading transformation

Additional Details:

The primary location for this role is Peoria, IL with a flexible, hybrid work environment. Relocation assistance is available to those looking to relocate to Peoria. We will consider other Caterpillar facilities, for those residing within 50 miles of a Caterpillar office.

This position may require up to 25% travel domestically, with international travel.
