Responsibilities:
Responsible for design concept generation, layout, design, and photo selection for assigned pieces.
Work on a wide variety of projects for in-store activation including but not limited to POS, direct mail, FSI, and web layout.
Participate in project meetings with creative, account, production, and conceptualization team and be able to communicate the rationale behind design executions.
Manage creative team to meet job objectives within production and time constraints.
Meet deadlines, expectations, and satisfactory completion of jobs assigned by the Creative Director or Creative Leader.
Work within program budgets, identify revenue opportunities, and cost-savings while maintaining client relationships.
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree inAdvertising, Graphic Design, Communications, or Journalism or equivalent experiencerequired
3-5 years of experience in similar industry
3-5 years of experience in Design or Director and a strong portfolio of professional creative work
2-4 years of experience in the consumer products, media, or agency business
Excellent written communication and verbal communication skills
Strong prioritization skills

Position Summary
The Sr. Art Director performs all tasks related to graphic design in support of Marketing efforts. Responsible for managing projects autonomously, completing assigned projects by the deadline, and working closely with account and production while directing Jr. Designers.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
Design and Project Implementation
Responsible for design concept generation, layout, design, and photo selection for assigned pieces
Work on a wide variety of projects for in-store activation including but not limited to POS, direct mail, FSI, and web layout
Participate in project meetings with creative, account, production, and concepting team and be able to communicate the rationale behind design executions
Utilize available design software to manage project files from layout to print-ready
Project Management
Manage creative team to meet job objectives within production and time constraints
Meet deadlines, expectations, and satisfactory completion on jobs assigned by Creative Director or Creative Leader
Work within program budgets, identify revenue-opportunities, and cost-savings while maintaining client relationships
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Direct Reports
Hires, retains, trains, coaches, guides, directs, and develops direct reports using company-wide processes, tools and resources
Indirect Reports
This position does not have guidance or mentoring responsibilities for indirect reports
Travel and/or Driving Requirements
Travel is an essential duty and function of this job. Driving is not an essential duty and function of this job.

Minimum Qualifications
Education Level: (Required): Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
Field of Study/Area of Experience: Advertising, Graphic Design, Communications, or Journalism
3-5 years of experience in similar industry
3-5 years of experience in Design or Director and a strong portfolio of professional creative work
2-4 years of experience in the consumer products, media, or agency business
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
Excellent written communication and verbal communication skills
Strong prioritization skills
Ability to ensure a high level of service and quality is maintained
Team building Skills
Ability to understand and follow specific instructions and procedures
Ability to work independently and prioritize duties with minimal supervision, in order to meet deadlines

Good interpersonal skills
Strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, and web-browsers

Incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job. Work is performed primarily in an office environment. Typically requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time (66% each day), ability to hear the telephone, ability to enter data on a computer and may also require the ability to lift up to 10 pounds.
