POSITION SUMMARY
Job Summary:Post-Paint Assistant unracks, unmasks, solvent cleans, touches up and packages orders in accordance with work order instructions and established Sonaca North America procedures under direct supervision as needed. Personnel shall process all customer products in a safe manner to eliminate damage during the packaging operation and transit to the customer.
Essential Functions include but are not limited to:
Read and understand work order requirements.
Identify parts with printed and/or electronic pictures.
Un-rack, un-mask, solvent-clean and touch up parts, when required, prior to packaging and shipping.
Package parts in accordance with Sonaca-NA’s procedures and work order instructions.
Other Job Duties include but are not limited to:
Operate pallet jacks and forklift, with appropriate certification.
Operate weight scales to verify quantities. Keep packaging and shipping areas clean and organized per company Ultraclean/6S requirements.
Observe safety requirements and use all required safety equipment.
Handles customer-supplied product with care.
Maintain and reinforce Sonaca-NA’s quality standards to meet and exceed customer expectations.
Available to work overtime when required, including weekends.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Shipping Supervisor or trainer.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or High School Equivalency required.
Ability to read and comprehend American English is required.
Previous experience in packaging and shipping is desired.
Must attain proficiency in using the Sonaca-NA’s Work Order Tracking Program.
Application of basic math skills is required.
Ability to follow written and verbal directions is required.
Attention to detail is required.
Interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills are required.
