Concrete workers/finishers

Bahena Construction Company, Inc. is looking to fill 14 Concrete workers/finishers Positions in Collin, Delta, Ellis, Fannin, Franklin, Grayson, Gregg, Hopkins, Hunt, Kaufman, Lamar, Navarro, Red River, Rockwall, Van Zandt and Wood Counties. This is a temporary, fulltime position starting on 2/1/2025 and ending on 11/30/2025
Prepare site and fine-tune elevations using shovels. Work with lumber, rebar, saws (concrete and wood), hammers, and nails to set forms (will NOT be using rebar to reinforce concrete) and tie rebar. Pour concrete using a concrete vibrator to prevent honeycombing; use floats to smooth and finish concrete surfaces. Apply curing compound with a sprayer after initial concrete setting. Remove forms after 3 days and perform final finishing to smooth out rough edges. Operate hand/power tools and ensure site cleanliness throughout the process. Involves loading and unloading tools and supplies and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs. Involves working outdoors in all types of weather. Involves extensive standing, sitting or walking. Involves frequent stooping or bending. Involves repetitive movements. Post Hire/Employer Paid Drug Test. Higher starting rate based on experience and tenure. Free housing as available. Possibility of performance based raise, bonuses, overtime and Saturdays as required. Transportation provided to multiple worksites from central location in Winnsboro, TX. 60 minutes of unpaid breaks throughout the day.Employer will not be charging or deducting rent from pay. Deductions will not drop the overall wage below the UDSOL minimum, if the deductions are too great they will not be made. Daily hours may vary between start and end times listed depending on weather or job assignments
Terms and Conditions of Employment: $22.86 to $24.86 per hour. Minimum of 40 hours per week – Mon-Sat (with a possibility of Sat.), 8:00:00 AM to 5:00:00 PM (schedules may vary). Overtime is available as needed. Overtime rate is $34.29 to $37.29. Possibility of Performance based raise. On the job training provided.
Housing: If requested, employer may assist non-local workers securing optional worker-paid lodging (not to exceed fair market value, based on number of occupants; cost TBD). Housing costs paid directly to landlord and are not payroll deducted. Transportation: Employer will provide advance transportation costs for most economical common carrier for workers, either foreign or domestic, to place of employment from place of recruitment and reimburse subsistence when worker completes 50% of the work period.
Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, employer will provide or pay for workers reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distance involved. Daily subsistence to be reimbursed at a minimum amount of $15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per 24 hour period (with receipts) of travel.
Three-fourths guarantee: The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period.
Tools, Equipment and Supplies: Employer will provide all tools and supplies, without charge or deposit, necessary to perform job duties. On the Job Training Provided.
Miscellaneous: Employer will use a single work week as its standard for computing wages due; pay is Weekly.
Employer will not make any deductions which are not required by law unless employee requests or agrees to certain deductions in regards to advance pay, reimbursements, etc. Deductions will not drop the overall wage below the UDSOL minimum, if the deductions are too great they will not be made. H-2B Workers whom paid visa, border and or other visa related fees, including those mandated by the government, will be reimbursed by employer in the first workweek.
