Scope of Responsibility:
This position is responsible for conducting visual inspections of products before, during and after production processes to assure compliance with the Companys standards and the Customers specifications. This position is also responsible for inspecting shipments of finished products. Will also be able to perform MT inspection on weldments.

Essential Duties:

– Conducts in process and final visual weld and dimensional inspections in accordance with AWS D1.1
– Performs MT inspections as a Level II in accordance to Sabres quality requirements
– Performs UT inspections as a Level I in accordance to Sabres quality requirements
– Ensures that all documentation is accurately and neatly completed
– Communicates clearly and concisely via email, text, or verbally
– Ensures all inspections comply with Sabres quality standards
– Verifies and maintains inspection and test status of product during all stages of manufacturing
– Verifies rework and repair of nonconforming products
– Initiates requests for corrective action on observed conditions which do not conform to quality system requirements
– Prepares, reviews and maintains Quality records appropriate to inspection and test activities to assure legibility, completeness, and correctness of the information
– Visually inspects manufactured parts to ensure they are manufactured per the drawings/specifications
– Ensures that customer requirements are determined and met or exceeded
– Contributes to a safe working environment by being responsible for quality, safety, organization, and cleanliness in area of operation
– Contributes to team effort by communicating and working well with others, as well as accomplishing related tasks as needed
– Maintains a professional demeanor at all times

Position Requirements:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience:

– Must be able to meet the AWS D1.1 requirements of a visual weld inspector.
– 20 hours of MT classroom training per STN-TC-1A along with the associated verifiable 280 OJT Hours
