Job Description
A Fitter specializes in fitting tubular structures and reading blueprints. Currently seeking skilled fitters to fabricate, fit, and assemble the structural components of various mechanical systems. To be successful as a fitter, you should be detail-oriented, focused, and adept at interpreting blueprints. Ability to safely use hand and power tools as well as demonstrate excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
The Fitter position is responsible for fitting and joining, fabricating, and repairing metal and other weldable material by applying appropriate techniques in accordance with product specifications and production schedules. For large or specialized projects, fitters are mainly involved with laying out and assembling subunits or units of materials which are then welded into position by welders. The position is responsible for ensuring the product is fitted to the specifications of each job and the outlined requirements consistent with production of quality UT passable welds. The fitters specialize in fitting transmission power poles, Substation A-Frames, High mast poles, Highway sign poles, and other tubular structures and have specific experience related to reading blueprints.

This is a fully on-site position in Haltom City, Texas.
Work Environment
Heavy Industrial Steel Manufacturing facility. COLD/HOT depending on time of year. Non-Climate Controlled.
