YOUR FUTURE TEAM
As part of TCEQ Compliance and Enforcement, you would help ensure that those we regulate comply with the states environmental laws.
This position is a member of our Border and Permian Basin division.
HERES WHAT YOULL BE DOING
Conduct technical inspections, surveys, and follow-up investigations; prepare reports which documents field activities and observed conditions.
Conduct environmental monitoring and prepare technical papers regarding studies involving environmental subjects
Provide technical assistance to the public, regulated community, and other interested groups regarding the application of appropriate regulations
Assist with collecting and analyzing environmental samples
Qualifications: KEY QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors degree or higher from an accredited college or university with a major in basic science, engineering, or environmental studies.
Experience in preparing technical papers (such as investigation reports and/or research papers)
EDUCATION EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
A bachelors degree from an accredited college or university, with a major in a natural or physical science, engineering, environmental studies, or related field generally preferred, but not required.
OR
Four years of full-time experience in the field of environmental activities directly related to the examples of work performed.

CURRENT TCEQ EMPLOYEES
This position is also available as a lateral transfer opportunity (LTO) to TCEQ employees within theNatural Resources Specialist II-IVstate classification. The selected candidate must meet the minimum qualifications of the corresponding job in theEnvironmental Investigator II-IVseries.
