Sr Project Manager

SNC is looking for a candidate to lead our strategic effort to expand our contracted research and development (CRAD) programs. As the project manager of our rapidly expanding CRAD group, you will serve as the central focal point both within SNC and to our numerous DoD customers to capture, execute, and transition technology programs within SNC. This is a high visibility and high impact position that will accelerate SNCs growth serving the DoD emerging technology needs to support their near term and long term long range kill chain requirements. Through identification and development of key technologies, you will have the opportunity to directly impact the growth of SNCs special programs.
Partnered with our program leaders, business development, and our operations analysis group, you will lead internal working groups that guide the direction of our CRAD pursuits. Youll lead an energic and focused team of program and engineering personnel. Based on this strategy, you will actively engage in customer meetings, industry days, and relevant conferences and seminars to form relationships with DoD customers and ensure alignment to their product road maps with our internal pursuit strategy. This role will be high energy, customer facing, and represent a strategic growth area for SNC.
Lead SNCs overall effort to identify, develop, and capture DoD CRAD programs Engage regularly with Sr. Director, Vice President, and Senior Vice President of programs, and VP of business development to ensure alignment with product road maps Lead SNCs engagement with multiple DoD acquisition offices including AFRL, DARPA Attend industry day events, conferences, and 1 on 1 engagements to align our business strategy with DoD gaps and requirements Develop and deliver competitive product solutions for DoD customers Lead SNC responses in partnership with our business development team to DoD requests for information (RFI), and requests for proposals (RFPs) Building and leading technical teams.

Must Haves:
Bachelors degree in Business Administration or related field
Typically 6 years of progressive experience in project management roles and/or in related or technical fields
Proficient in leading a team of at least 5 either directly or indirectly.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software
Demonstrated experience in managing a highly complex project and its various parts; proposal development, contract negotiation, resource management, engineering development, operations and production, test through delivery and contract closeout.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Strong analytical skills & capability to meet schedules
Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
DoD or industry experience in technology development across a broad scope of technical areas including: remote sensing, electronic warfare, countermeasures, autonomy
Experience utilizing operations analysis to assess a wide range of DoD capabilities for mission effectiveness
Identification and development of key technologies that enable these mission capabilities
Developing road maps to align to DoD strategic technology requirements
Preferred:
Program Management Professional (PMP) Certification
Experience managing projects requiring Earned Value Management
Experience managing project scope and scope creep during project execution
Experience in resource planning and management during project execution
Experience with risk management planning and documentation
Knowledge of Kaizen & Lean Manufacturing principles
Knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100 & CMMI process standards
Familiarity with government contracting and regulations
Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
Estimated Starting Salary Range: $124,771.42 – $171,560.71. SNC considers several factors when extending job offers, including but not limited to candidates’ key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications.
SNC offers annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.
