POSITION: Equipment Operator – Road & Bridge

Delta County Road & Bridge is accepting applications for the position of
Equipment Operator. Responsibilities include performing a variety of
skilled, semi skilled, labor, maintenance and construction work
involving the operation and maintenance of light, medium, and heavy
equipment including graders, backhoes, dozers, loaders and dump trucks.
DUTIES:
Operate heavy equipment in servicing, maintaining, building and cleaning
county roads and bridges, including basic maintenance of equipment.
Subject to non-restrictive call back 24 hours a day for situations
including, but not limited to, snow plowing, wild-land fires,
floods, and other emergency or maintenance occurrences.
Maintain and comply with safety standards and required maintenance protocol
at all times.
REQUIREMENTS:
Three (3) years progressive experience in safe driving of commercial
trucks and operating heavy equipment including but not limited to graders,
backhoes, dozers, loaders, snow plows, tractors, and dump trucks.
Class A Colorado Commercial Drivers License (CDL) with a current
medical card preferred, Class B CDL with ability to get a Class A OR
ability to obtain a Class A CDL within 6 months of hire considered with
desired experience
Combination of education and experience could waive specific requirement
WAGE:
$21.00 to $23.10 hourly with a CDL Class A Drivers License, depending
on experience
$20.00 to $22.00 hourly without a CDL Class A Drivers License,
depending on experience
SHIFT: Full time – 40 Hours per week
Position has a rotating schedule of Monday through Friday one month and
Tuesday through Saturday the next month.
