Job Description:This is a position in the Facilities Management department
that requires some experience in locksmith work. Experience in a healthcare
setting will be helpful.

Regardless of specialty, a Maintenance Specialist may be required to perform
other maintenance tasks as needed, such as minor repairs or assisting with
other projects.

Essential Functions
Installs, maintains, and repairs locking devices for wooden medication
cabinets, lock cores, and keys for metal desks and cabinets.
Maintains a door-locking program that permits emergency access by security and
maintenance personnel at any time.
May use specialized locking devices such as cipher, combination, or other
coded locking devices that have the capability for key access.
Maintains, repairs and rebuilds lock cores; cut keys as needed and
maintain key control for safety and security of buildings and staff.
Adjusts and repairs hinges, latches, strikes, closing devices, etc.

Qualifications
Experience as a door and access technician.
Demonstrated abilities in the area applied for.
A valid driver license may be required for this position.
Maintaining a clean and safe work environment by following established safety
procedures and protocols.
The ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements
Bending, lifting, stooping, crawling, laying, sitting, walking, climbing.
Use of hand and power tools, proper use of hearing and eye protection.
Exposure to extreme temperatures in nature, work in noisy or constricted
spaces, exposure to odors and smells.

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate
dependent upon experience.$26.84 – $42.28
