Objective The Project Manager, as the position describes, is the primary
point of contact for all personnel (stakeholders) on projects to which
they are assigned. This includes interdepartmental communication as well
as the external interface with the customer and subtier suppliers. Their
primary objective is to successfully bring the project to completion
within the estimated budget, on or ahead of schedule, and with complete
customer satisfaction. Schedule The Project Managers are typically asked
to work Mon-Thurs 7:00 am to 4:30 pm with a 30 min lunch (or 7:00am to
5:00pm with 1 hour lunch) and 7:00am-11:00am Fridays. Project Managers
are salary and are expected to put in the necessary time to stay on top
of critical tasks and report 40 hours weekly. Some travel may be needed
to provide adequate oversight. Travel typically consists of day trips
not further than Salt Lake City with one or more AFI employee but is
based on need. If the job requires more oversight, more travel may be
necessary. Skills Skills essential to being a successful Project Manager
include: Attention to detail Fabrication knowledge/experience Planning
and organization Effective communication Risk management Metal
fabrication knowledge and experience is required along with the ability
to read and interpret detailed part and assembly drawings. Basic GD&T
knowledge and experience is encouraged. The majority of the work a
Project Manager does is recorded/summarized/submitted/reported using
computer software. Computer literacy and typing are a definite need.
Customer Contact Project Managers become the face of the company when
working with customers. Project Managers should always conduct business
in a professional way. Frequent contact with customers is required via
phone, email, and in person. Summary Project Management is a critical
position and can be extremely rewarding for the right person. Odds for

Must have Experience in Metal Fabrication and Must have Experience in
Project Management of Government Contracts.
