Description

Provides quality individual, family and group therapy as indicated by client and program needs

If applicable to educational or licensure background in substance abuse counseling, the therapist will be responsible for leading substance abuse groups/trainings with CSA and DLA in addition to providing individual substance abuse therapy to both students and community clients on their caseload.

Proficient in learning and utilizing an electronic health record system.

Documentation in all behavioral health services and/or contacts to be completed within 24 hours of the service.

Carry a caseload of 35-40 clients and meet the minimum 30-hour weekly billing requirement. Part-time employees will staff with the assigned supervisor to determine the appropriate caseload and minimum weekly billing productivity requirement.

Can assess and diagnose behavioral and mental health issues.

Individualized treatment plans that promote resiliency and recovery with clients and is client focused.

Maintains clients’ clinical files according to agency contract and licensing requirements.

Provides crisis intervention as needed. Ensures incident reports and related documentation is completed in a timely manner.

Prepares and administers the clinical assessment, treatment plan, progress notes, monthly progress reports, incident reports, meeting or staffing reports, and discharge summaries.

Treats others with respect, confronts negative behavior and supports confrontations.

Completes required reports and documentation in a timely manner, provides management with required reports and advises of any problematic situations.

Complies with and implements the Rite of Passage and Rite Path Policies and Procedures as detailed in the appropriate manuals/handbooks.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Masters degree in counseling, psychology, social work, substance abuse counseling, marriage and family and licensure with the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners which is in good standing. Must complete required CEU’s to maintain license for this position.

Applicants that hold a bachelor’s in social work and are licensed as an LBSW with the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners are also qualified for the licensed therapist position.

Experience in delivering behavioral health services with Medicaid/Medicare billing and documentation standards.

At least two years of experience working with children, teens and family in a behavioral health counseling setting.

Ability to pass a criminal background clearance check and obtain Arizona Fingerprint clearance card
