Description:

The Sterile Compounding Pharmacist is responsible for all sterile compounding activities, including personalizing prescriptions, creating new formulations, and updating existing ones under the guidance of the Sterile Compounding Manager and the Belmar Pharma Solutions Corporate Product Team. Key duties include verifying prescriptions, ensuring the accuracy and quality of batch records and compounded products, and training staff on sterile compounding procedures. The role also involves compliance with federal, state, and local laws, understanding USP 797 and USP 800 standards, developing and maintaining formula worksheets, troubleshooting formulation issues, and writing and reviewing SOPs. The pharmacist will supervise technicians, collaborate with the Quality Department, participate in inspections, and maintain the compounding laboratory. Additional responsibilities include ensuring patient confidentiality, adhering to corporate policies, and managing controlled substances. The position requires the ability to work in various physical positions and handle potential exposure to hazardous chemicals while wearing safety equipment for extended periods.

Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and ability to utilize various software programs

Ability to learn pharmacy dispensing software quickly (e.g., LifeFile)

Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as dosage calculation, formulation of pharmaceutical preparations and data analysis

Strong mathematical and chemistry experience preferred

Technical writing skills for writing Standard Operating Procedures preferred

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Youngtown, Arizona.

Pay

$65 – $75 (Depending on experience)

Schedule:

Monday – Friday hours varies between 7am-6pm
