Food Service Oversight Worker – Apache

Job Description

A client in hospitality and food service is hiring food service supervisors to manage the oversight of meal planning, recipes, and distribution of meals to residents in correctional facilities in Winslow, AZ. In this role, the day to day responsibilities will include oversight of inmates preparing food & once food is prepared, supervising the serving lines, ensuring temperatures of the food is correct & while food is being served, managing the next meal to be prepared. This process will repeat for each meal of the day including breakfast, lunch and dinner. Administrative and supervisory experience is a plus, as you will be managing the delivery of meals, menus and distribution of responsibilities between residents whom also work in the kitchen. The ideal candidate is someone who has open availability in their schedule, has a positive attitude and is willing to obtain their ServSafe Certification & go through food safety training.

Additional responsibilities include:

– Adhere to company standards by reviewing and approving production and temperature logs.

– Print and distribute recipes, and train inmates on proper cooking procedures.

– Conduct inventory, receive and store food items, and requisition orders as needed.

– Follow security policies, ensure storage areas are locked, and return kitchen tools and keys to secure areas.

Skills and Requirements

Minimum of one (1) year of food prep or related work preferred

Ability to motivate and supervise team members to attain quality and quantity of food production in a correctional work environment – Previous supervisory experience

– Previous corrections experience

– ServSafe certification null
