Boeing is looking for an experienced Mid-Level Industrial Security Specialist to join its security team in El Segundo, CA (2 positions) and Tukwila, WA (1 position).
As a Mid-Level Industrial Security Specialist, you will work with both senior and junior staff members to administer and implement US Industrial Security Standards as outlined in the National Industrial Security Program Manual (NISPOM), the DoD Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Administrative Security Manual, Special Access Program (SAP) Security rules and/or other authoritative sources of security regulations. As an individual contributor, you will ensure programmatic security posture is compliant with all applicable regulations by performing the Actions of Personnel Security, Physical Security and Program Supply Chain Acquisition Security:
Roles and Responsibilities
Demonstrate proficiency with/utilize specific databases to determine personnel eligibility to access classified information – JPAS/DISS, Scattered Castles, JADE, JADS, Enterprise Security Systems (SIMS), and other databases and record-keeping repositories
Conduct initial and recurring security briefings to cleared workforce members on topics such as critical program information, marking, safeguarding and destroying classified information, operations security, physical and communication security, and other security training as required
Manage personnel records, classified material records and/or other sensitive records in to ensure the highest levels of data integrity and correctness
Conduct inventories and records reconciliation actions to ensure accuracy and accountability
Prepare activity or program concept of operation (CONOPs) outlining unique security protection requirements for sensitive operations; establish procedures for protecting, handling, storing, and transporting proprietary materials
Coordinate across the security workforce, Boeing engineering, managerial and technical teams, as well as senior Boeing personnel and U. S. Government customers to seek contract execution approvals, security rulings or deviations as may be required
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.
This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)
Basic Qualifications:
At least 6 years work experience
3 years of experience in a security support capacity such as, personnel security administration, physical security, supply chain or related operational acquisition security, communications security or other programmatic security-related field
Successfully completed a Tier 5 Investigation (T5), formerly known as a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) by the federal government within the last 5 years or have been enrolled in a Continuous Evaluation program such that periodic updates are no longer required
Ability to obtain and maintain access to a Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and/or Special Access Program (SAP) access
Be proficient in desktop computing and MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
Have excellent oral and written communication skills and be a self-starter
Ability to obtain a successful a US government polygraph examination
Preferred Qualifications:
Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with a background investigation date within the last 6 years; In Scope polygraph examination
Prior A/CPSO, A/CSSO, or Industrial Security Analyst experience (3years), Bachelor’s degree and 2 years in Industrial Security-related role or Master’s Degree and at last one year of specialized industrial security experience
CDSE, NSTI/SASSI or other Professional Certification in SAP Security, SCI Administration, ICD-705, JSIG/RMF, COMSEC, or related security certifications
Experience working in an SCI/SAP/Aerospace security/intelligence community environment
Working knowledge of the NISPOM and DoD SAP Manuals
Ability to prioritize and multi-task with minimal supervision
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Willingness to perform occasional second-shift or after-hours work schedules to accommodate program operations
Ability to maintain positive working relationship with internal and external customers
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Ability to assert control of large groups of people and comfortable with public speaking
Strong working knowledge of basic office automation tools such as MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 4 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master4 years related work experience, 8 years related work experience, etc.).

Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range: $98,000 – $123,000
This position may offer a sign-on bonus to qualified candidates
