Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join us as a Lab Ops Tech II of Quality Control Analytical team in our commercial cell therapy production center located in El Segundo, CA.
This is a swing shift position working Sun-Wed, 1:30PM – 12:00AM
Responsibilities:
Perform QC sample receipt, processing and distribution for testing and
storage
Maintain, calibrate and operate equipment and instruments supporting cell bioassays, Flow Cytometry, ELISA and PCR assays
Work with internal resources to maintain lab in an optimal state
Track inventory of lab supplies and materials
Troubleshoot fairly standard issues and identify when a deviation from standard process occurs
Gather metric information for use in continuous improvement of areas of responsibility
Data entry and review
Perform testing of raw materials, intermediates, final products and stability samples by executing analytical methods (bioassays )
Support generation of CoAs for product release
Support investigations regarding out of specification (OOS ) results, Out of Trend (OOT ) events and any other unexpected event related to the laboratory
Monitor the GMP systems currently in place to ensure compliance with documented policies
Additional duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications:
Associate and 1 years of relevant experience OR
High School Diploma/GED and 2 years of relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Degree in biotechnology or related field with Quality Control experience
Working knowledge of GMP, SOPs and quality control processes
Working knowledge of quality systems and regulatory requirements (21 CRF Part 11/210/211)
Experience in one or more analytical techniques such as Flow Cytometry, ELISAs, and PCR
Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Power Point and other applications
Ability to communicate and work independently with scientific/technical personnel
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Comfortable in a fast-paced small company environment with minimal direction and able to adjust workload based upon changing priorities

The salary range for this position is: $54,655.00 – $70,730.00. Kite considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package. Benefits include company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans.
