F/T Credentialed Veterinary Technician for VCA Mission in Alhambra

VCA Mission Animal Hospital is an AAHA accredited general practice seeking an experienced Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our hospital team. We are a 3 doctor practice open Monday-Friday 7:00am-7:00pm and Saturdays 8:00am-4:00pm.

You have worked hard for your credentials and we want you to use the knowledge that you have invested your time and talent in. The skills that you will be utilizing include, but are not limited to:

Providing compassionate and skilled nursing care to critically ill and injured animals

Assisting veterinarian and technician staff with medical procedures, including triage, diagnostics, and treatments

Monitoring patients’ vital signs and responding promptly to changes in condition

Catheter placement

Venipuncture

Radiology

Patient recovery

Client Communication; loading exam rooms, presenting estimates

Maintaining accurate medical records and ensuring compliance with hospital protocols

Collaborating with other members of the veterinary team to provide comprehensive care to patients

Qualifications:

Must have documented previous Animal Hospital experience

Hold a current California RVT license

Flexibility in hours including but not limited to evenings, weekends, and holidays

Customer service skills including Phone skills

Working knowledge of computers

Excellent communications skills

Compensation: The pay range for this position is $25-$26/ hour.
