Job Description: Superintendent for Water/Wastewater Operations
Position Title: Superintendent
Location: Irvine, Southern California
Company Overview: We are a leading construction firm specializing in municipal and public works projects, with a strong focus on water and wastewater treatment plants. Our company prides itself on self-performing Civil, Structural, and Mechanical scopes of work, ensuring high-quality and efficient project delivery. We are currently seeking a seasoned Superintendent to join our team and support our ongoing projects in Irvine, CA.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the assigned projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of skilled workers, subcontractors, and vendors, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
Scheduling and Planning: Develop and maintain project schedules, coordinating with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely progress.
Quality Control: Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure all work meets or exceeds industry standards and project specifications.
Safety Management: Promote and enforce a strong safety culture on-site, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, stakeholders, and project teams, providing regular updates and addressing any issues or concerns promptly.
Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed project documentation, including daily reports, progress photos, and change orders.
Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve any issues or challenges that arise during the construction process, leveraging your expertise and experience to find effective solutions.
Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction management, with a focus on municipal/public works projects and water/wastewater treatment plants.
Technical Skills: Experience in process/mechanical work, with experience in cast-in-place concrete structures being a plus.
Leadership: Proven ability to lead and manage construction teams, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Project Management: Demonstrated experience in managing complex construction projects from inception to completion.
Safety: Comprehensive knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in the construction industry.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required.
