Job Title: Food Production Associate/Operator

Job Description

As a Food Production Associate/Operator, you’ll play an important role in ensuring our production processing lines and machinery run smoothly. This includes unloading/loading materials, following recipes, weighing/measuring raw ingredients, operating equipment, packaging the final product, and performing different quality checks to meet company and customer requirements. You are expected to assist in various areas of the production process as needed. Main responsibilities will include unloading incoming shipments to supply production lines, safely operating manufacturing equipment and machinery, handling raw materials, and moving products throughout the process. You will work closely with other Production Workers to check product quality and complete production tasks by set deadlines. Adhere to production quotas and complete cleaning activities as needed. May also be responsible for using warehouse equipment like forklifts to organize and retrieve products ahead of shipments, packaging products, stocking production materials, and performing basic maintenance of machinery and workstations. Additional tasks may be required as assigned.

Hard Skills

3 Years of Manufacturing/Production Experience

6 Months of Food Manufacturing Experience (Knowledge of Food Handling/GMPs)

2 Years of Machine Operating Experience

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 720 Hour(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Union City, California.

Work Environment

Food Manufacturing Environment. Hot (105°) and Cold (68°) Environment. One side of the facility is hot for manufacturing operations; the other is cold for chocolate cooling/packaging operations. Must comply with all legislated and relevant laws and regulations for safety and quality including lockout tag out, GMP’s, HACCP, Allergen, and specific policies and procedures. Must wear uniform, steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection, hair net, beard net, and safety gear specific to work activity when on plant floor. Physical requirements include standing and walking for prolonged periods, climbing stairs, bending, stooping, reaching to view product flow and adjust equipment, and lifting in excess of 50 lbs. on a repetitive basis. Daily exposure to noise and temperature variations (heat/cold). Pacemakers are not permitted around magnets.

Available Shifts:

Shift B- Sunday, Monday, Tuesday (every other Wednesday) 6pm to 6:15am

Shift C- (every other Wednesday) Thursday, Friday, Saturday 6am to 6:15pm

Shift D- (every other Wednesday) Thursday, Friday, Saturday 6pm to 6:15am
