Tetra Tech Inc. is currently seekingCustomer Service Specialists in Guaynabo, PR.This position will provide call center support for any calls or inquiries related to PRDOH-CDBG-DR R3-BRR & SF-MIT Program. This is an In-Office position working out of our Guaynabo office.
This is a Section 3 eligible job opportunity. We encourage applications from individuals who are low income and/or living in Public Housing. Individual – CDBG (pr.gov).
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Managing incoming and outgoing calls
- Choose appropriate questions to uncover callers purpose and needs.
- Present, explain, and provide applicable, accurate, and appropriate information with respect to programs and services that could assist callers.
- Assist applicants in completing eligible applications.
- Assist applicants with the online submission of applications.
- Actively ensure quality case files and client interactions.
- Providing status updates for preliminary casework and/or determinations.
- Other duties, as assigned.
Qualifications:
The selected candidate will preferably have experience in CDBG-DR R3 Program or intaking disaster applications.
The ideal candidate should have the following:
- All candidates must be a high school graduate or possess a GED.
- Providing telephone support to customers in support of an organization or business;
- Providing verbal and written communication in both English and Spanish; and,
- Utilizing computer software to process customer information.
- Attention to detail and experience with data tracking and monitoring.
- PC, Microsoft Office Suite knowledge required (strong Excel skills preferred).
- Ability to learn project-specific computer systems as needed.
- Ability to multi-task, such as toggling between computer applications while on the phone.
- Individuals in this position are expected to maintain a professional demeanor, have strong analytical skills, excellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to effectively interact with individuals from various cultures and backgrounds.
- Individuals in this position must have the ability to work independently, as well as within a team.
- Bilingual (Spanish and English) required.
