Overview:
We are a $43 million nonprofit, community-based agency in Bedford MA seeking a motivated Senior Accountant to play an integral role in our dynamic accounting team. This is a newly created position reporting to the Controller, and it will fill our need for a central person to coordinate our accounting activities with our program teams. The work will span all traditional accounting areas, A/P, A/R and Cash work along with balance sheet reconciliations and much more. The Senior Accountant will work alongside the Controller, the CFO and leadership frequently for a unique opportunity to learn and contribute within a joyful and exciting environment.

Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in accounting
5-10 years of accounting experience with demonstrated increasing responsibilities
CPA preferred
Intermediate Excel (i.e. you love Excel, vlookups are your friend, and you can figure out most things with the help of a google search)
Excellent interpersonal skills required to develop and maintain effective working relationships across all levels within the organization
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team depending on the task
Excellent attention to detail, communication, organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
High level of computer competency, including experience with MS Office, Accounting software, and Intermediate level proficiency with Excel. Knowledge of Teams a plus.
