As a Studio Manager at Basecamp Fitness, you will be the tip of the spear in leading and managing a dynamic studio team that inspires, transforms, and empowers others to live healthier lives as the best version of themselves. You will lead and drive the execution of operations, business rhythms, success routines, sales processes, and best practices for successfully growing, operating, and supporting a fast-paced boutique fitness studio. In addition, your critical role will provide positive leadership in driving specified KPIs to grow the business, hiring, training, and developing your studio staff, and building community by fostering personal connections with your team and studio members by modeling the welcoming, encouraging, and celebrating culture of the brand. In addition to top-line revenue growth activities, the Studio Manager position is responsible for expense management, including studio labor spend, ordering supplies, retail inventory management, and preventative maintenance efforts for the studio. Reporting Structure This position reports directly to the Multi Unit Operator or Owner Duties & Responsibilities – Leadership and Culture – Recruiting, hiring, and onboarding Assistant Studio Managers and Ambassadors Developing the studio’s staff schedule Collaborating with the studio team for ongoing process improvement and developing the highest quality experience for our members Planning and executing staff training, and ongoing coaching and development for high performance of each team member Leading performance management activities with each staff member, including setting goals, ongoing coaching, career development and performance reviews Leading performance coaching for employees that are not meeting performance expectations Acting as a coach to the Assistant Studio Managers (ASMs) and as a resource to each of the studio’s employees to help inspire each person to be highly engaged in their role Building community among team members by providing positive engagement, offering trustworthy support, developing and fostering personal connections Providing a world-class, member-centric experience that strengthens member relationships and builds member retention; implementing strategies that ensure all members feel welcomed, encouraged, and celebrated Developing a high-energy studio culture through contests and incentive-based motivation Driving team development by facilitating inspiring team meetings that increases trust and accountability throughout the entire staff Conducting regular sales staff meetings and attends all required meeting webinars Modeling all studio activities through self-involvement (leading by example)   Sales Managing the sales process and working to exceed all sales goals while maintaining budget targets Leading and coordinating initial and ongoing sales drivers (pre-sale events, studio events, marketing, outreach)Business Operations Meeting performance metrics (KPI’s) defined for: customer service feedback; revenue; inventory; payroll; facilities; and other costs related to business operations Monitoring the P&L reports for the studio and using data to fill in any gaps between actual performance and company projections Conducting audits to verify the studio’s payroll information during each payroll cycle Demonstrating compliance and adherence to Business Policies for daily studio operations Ensuring there is consistency and continuity in all actions of branding Prioritizing studio performance issues to make sure that the issues most directly affecting profitability are addressed first Required Skills Displays enthusiasm, energy, and a passion for health and fitness. Must possess basic fitness acumen Naturally connects and builds rapport with a range of people and personalities Enjoys and thrives in sales-focused roles; performance-driven with the ability to direct sales through corporate initiatives, outreach programs, and local community events Team player with the ability to work collaboratively Possess excellent leadership qualities and management skills to create a positive, successful & thriving environment for staff and clients; ability to set direction and delegate tasks; ability to effectively balance accountability and empathy Proven sales leadership with excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization Forward thinking and creative Able to execute a game plan Self-starter Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and manage client and staff concerns Detail Oriented Open to coaching and feedback Able to adapt and learn computer systems (POS, CRM, etc.) in a timely manner to be successful in this position Must be punctual and timely in meeting all requirements of performance, including, but not limited to, attendance standards and work deadlines; beginning and ending assignments on time; and scheduled work breaks; where applicable Ability to manage and effectively engage with followers on social media platforms like Instagram and Facebook Ability to multi-task and manage client and staff concerns Required Qualifications Minimum Education & Knowledge College degree or related 2 years of management experience preferred Minimum Work Experience 3 years of Management experience in boutique fitness is strongly preferred 3 – 4 years of previous sales experience required 3 years of management experience required, including directly overseeing all aspects of staff management from hiring, training, supporting, discipline, and termination 2 years of previous lead-generating and community outreach experience preferred   Physical Demands and Environmental Conditions The physical demands described here represent those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
