# JOB SUMMARY:
The Warehouseperson is responsible for safe operations of all aspects of inventory control and day- to-day maintenance of the warehouse; including shipping/receiving, daily issuing of tools and materials to fulfill work orders, maintaining/reconciling inventory stock levels and routine purchasing assignments as directed. This position may be needed to provide traffic control flagging, staking or other manpower as needed by other departments of the District.
# JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Support the Districts mission to serve our customers and foster a positive and safe workplace environment.
2. Maintain the functional aspects of the inventory module within the PCS computer system and acting as the interface between material handlers and data entry workers.
3. Ensure work crew needs are met by maintaining adequate stock levels, filling material orders and pick lists and delivering in an accurate and timely manner to District
4. Ensure the warehouse stock purchase orders are filled by daily receiving, inspecting, placing stock into the warehouse and comparing the packing slip to the purchase
5. Prepare and provide bill of lading documentation for material or tool shipments or
6. Maintain accurate inventory reconciliation by regularly monitoring and returning materials as necessary and coordinating with the Accounting Department for the annual inventory
7. Maintain Material Data Sheets (MDS).
8. Acquires quotes (or bids), evaluates, selects, creates requisitions (purchase orders) and obtains approval in accordance with the District Procurement policy.
9. Assist with the inspection and checkout of District tools and equipment and monitor the location and condition of the District fixed assets such as tools and other small and attractive assets.
10. Assist in maintaining the Districts standards for materials by participating in the District Construction Standards meetings.
11. Attends District staff and safety meetings and works diligently to maintain a clean and professional work area.
12. Responsible for the organization, safe storage and cleanliness of the interior and exterior dock and warehouse areas and District main office Oversees or participates in the disposition of hazardous waste materials. Moves, stores and maintains records.
13. Ensures adequate stock of janitorial, landscaping and facility supplies are adequate and provides oversight for outside contractors providing services of these types to the
14. Controls traffic by flagging vehicles and placing cones and
15. Assist the Engineering and Operations Departments by occasionally visiting work sites or District Facilities to gather information related to District capital or maintenance

# MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1. High school diploma, or equivalent, and three (3) years in utility warehouse, shipping, or receiving.
2. Must possess and maintain a Washington State drivers license
3. Must possess and maintain valid First Aid and CPR card or can obtain in 90 days
4. Must possess and maintain a valid Traffic Flagging card or can obtain in 90 days
5. Must possess and maintain a Washington State Forklift Certification or can obtain in 90 days
