Summary of Role:

GlobalFoundries in Essex, VT is seeking a HVAC Test and Balance
Principal Technician to perform testing, adjusting, and balancing of
specialized heating, cooling, ventilation, and heat transfer systems.
This Technician will work a 5/2 schedule (Mon – Fri, 7AM-330PM), working
rotational weekend / holiday times, as needed. This role will be fully
on site at our 200mm Semiconductor manufacturing facility in Essex

Essential Responsibilities:

– Perform testing, adjusting, and balancing of specialized heating,
cooling, ventilation, and heat transfer systems and provide
balancing report to system engineer / project manager
– Become proficient in maintaining exhaust record database for
building systems
– Lead continuous improvement and cost savings initiatives
– Provide support to customers in manufacturing, offices, or labs, and
assistance with equipment installs / upgrade projects
– Ability to work in all the following areas which include but are not
limited to: Building Maintenance, Gas Services, High
Voltage/Electrical
– Ensure high emphasis on safety, equipment reliability, and
environmental rules and regulations.
– Work collaboratively in a team environment with a focus on customer
satisfaction.
– Perform Mechanical System maintenance and repairs

Other Responsibilities:

– Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support
all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements, and
associated programs
– Other tasks as assigned by management

Required Qualifications:

– Education – associates degree in a HVAC related field of study or
electronics/mechanical field. All external candidates must pass a
technical aptitude assessment
– Experience – Minimum of 2 years of experience in the test & balance
(TAB) industry or the mechanical service industry. Must have
experience with HVAC and building systems
– Demonstrated ability to pay attention to details and maintain
equipment efficiently without impacting system operations
– Familiarity with computers; computer programs such as Word, Excel,
PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams
– Excellent and effective written and verbal communication skills
– Strong planning & organizational skills.
– Travel: 0-5% travel required
– Fluency in English language – both written and verbal
– Physical Capacity Demands: Ability to lift at least 50 lbs, wearing
Personal Protective Equipment as required such as cleanroom suit
– Schedule flexibility is important as occasional weekend coverage
will be required

Preferred Qualifications:

– NEBB certification
– Experience: 3-5 years of HVAC service / TAB / Mechanical /
Electrical Systems operations and maintenance
– Industrial / Commercial System experience
– Understanding of system design parameters, safety / environmental
shutdown scenarios, and electronic control of equipment
– Project management skills – i.e., the ability to innovate and
execute solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity.

Expected Salary Range

52,500.00 – $107,000.00

The exact Salary will be determined based on qualifications, experience
and location.
