Purpose of Position
To provide safe, effective, and efficient operation, testing, maintenance, and construction activities on energized or
de-energized substations, relays, and all other related devices in a quality and craftsman-like manner. To prepare accurate reports on all equipment, devices and instruments maintained and repaired.

Possess a knowledge of electrical theory and a thorough understanding of the operation, maintenance, repair, testing, calibration, and installation of electrical equipment used in substations and on distribution and transmission lines.
Assess and report condition of electrical equipment both in-service and out-of-service for suitability for maintenance, repair, or disposal with guidance from Haz-mat and engineering staff.
Perform maintenance on electrical equipment and make re airs where necessary as directed by the Substation and Metering Foreman.
Coordinates and cooperates with employees from engineering, operations, member services, members, electricians, city and state electrical inspectors, suppliers, and manu
