GENERAL SUMMARY
Provide independent management of Energy Northwest programs and processes through evaluation of functional area performance and supports cross functional area performance across the station. Directly interfaces with the CEO/CNO and other Senior Site Leadership to provide candid feedback and insight on station performance. The CFAM will serve as the senior program manager for a functional area, driving improvement plans to close the gaps. This position has a major role in the implementation of the plant Quality Assurance Program and demonstrates leadership behaviors in excellence-level standards, accountability, and innovation.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Directly interface with the CEO/CNO and the Site Vice President to periodically to provide clear, candid feedback on station performance for their functional area. This requires a high level of knowledge of station operation, regulatory requirements, and excellent communication skills.
Conducts continuous monitoring and oversight of station and plant reliability performance. Identify, and communicate gaps to excellence and make recommendations to close station performance gaps. Review and challenges station action/recovery plans to address identified gaps in performance.
Attends Management Review Meetings (MRMs), and other leadership meetings, as required. Provides insights, narrative, honest and fact-based critical feedback with minimal emotion.
Plan, lead, and perform independent oversight of Energy Northwest’s major programs, functional areas, and processes through use of performance-based techniques. This includes written and verbal reporting of assessment results. Utilizes cross functional knowledge to identify and correct underlying drivers to gaps, elevations, and escalations.
Provides critical comments over a wide breadth of topics and areas beyond those already familiar with. Goes beyond simple compliance by developing performance-based issues and a compelling story to gain agreement. Develops and documents overall performance summary and trajectory statements.
Provide coaching, mentoring, and formal training of quality processes and programs to other auditors and lead auditors.
Routinely monitor plant and industry information to maintain cognizance of assigned technical areas. Interface with line personnel, industry contacts, and regulatory agencies.
Other Duties:
1. Must participate on the Emergency Response Team (ERO).
2. Must support the biennial refueling outage.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering or related science from an accredited college or university and ten years of experience in responsible positions related to power generation of which five years shall be nuclear power plant experience.
OR
An associate degree in a technical field from an accredited college or university AND twelve years of progressive experience in quality assurance, engineering, or a related science or technical field of which five years shall be nuclear power plant experience.
OR
High school diploma/GED and fourteen years of progressive experience in quality assurance, engineering, or a related science or technical field of which five years shall be nuclear power plant experience.
Two years of supervisory/management experience is required.
Experience must include at least two years in the field of quality assurance, or equivalent number of years of nuclear plant experience in a supervisory position, preferably at an operating nuclear plant or a combination of the two. At least one year of this experience shall be nuclear power plant experience in the implementation of quality assurance program.
DESIRED EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
Current or previous SRO and or RO License.
OR
PWR/BWR SRO Certification.

Pay Range
$136,961.00 – $205,441.00 Annual
Midpoint:
$171,201.00
Typically, selected candidates are hired between the minimum and midpoint of the range, based on applicable experience and qualifications, market rate, internal equity, and budgetary allowances.
Offers will be negotiated based on each candidates qualifications.
Incentive Compensation
This role may be eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan. Incentives are earned based on employee performance against defined metrics and company goals.
