GENERAL SUMMARY
Directly responsible for supervising the performance of Quality Services staff in carrying out the functions of independently assessing and characterizing Energy Northwest’s performance in assigned functional areas, identifying safety issues and conditions adverse to quality, and making recommendations to improve business processes. Evaluates and communicates issues affecting nuclear safety or operational quality which may require “Stop Work” action, request for plant shutdown, requests for escalated management attention, or may be reportable to regulatory agencies.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
•Supervises Quality Services staff in the performance of assigned observations, surveillances, and audits to ensure effective implementation of the Quality Assurance Program.
•Implements strategy for maximizing efficiency and decreasing costs of section to meet business plan objectives and achieve continuous improvement.
•Makes recommendations/determinations regarding employment, performance expectations/review, promotions, salary actions, transfers and terminations of Quality Services staff.
•Allocates work, reviews and improves procedures, assists and trains Quality Services staff as necessary.
•Resolves personnel problems.
•Participates as a member of the Plant Operating Committee, as required.
•Participates as a member of the nuclear plant outage organization, as required.
REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering or related science from an accredited college or university and a minimum of four years of power plant experience. These four years shall include at least two years of experience in nuclear power plants and one year supervision/management. During the two years of nuclear power plant experience, participation in the QA/QC function or involvement in program quality for programs subject to QA/QC audits and inspections is required.
Equivalency will be determined based upon an evaluation of the following factors:
1. High School Diploma or GED
2. Sixty (60) semester hours of related technical education taught at the college level
3. Qualified as an NRC senior operator at the assigned plant.
4. Four (4) years of additional experience in area of responsibility.
5. Four (4) years of supervisory or management experience.
6. Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly (verbally and in writing).
7. Certification of academic ability and knowledge by corporate management.
8. Successful completion of the Engineer-In-Training examination.
9. Professional Engineering License.
10. Associate’s degree in Engineering or a related science.

Pay Range
$136,961.00 – $205,441.00 Annual
Midpoint:
$171,201.00
Typically, selected candidates are hired between the minimum and midpoint of the range, based on applicable experience and qualifications, market rate, internal equity, and budgetary allowances.
Offers will be negotiated based on each candidates qualifications.
Incentive Compensation
This role may be eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan. Incentives are earned based on employee performance against defined metrics and company goals.
