Lab Services Technician

What this job involves: As a Laboratory Services Specialist, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the smooth operation of laboratory facilities. Your responsibilities will include managing inventory, coordinating shipments, handling hazardous waste, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.What your day-to-day will look like:
Communicate with supervisor regarding consumable supply stock, specialty gas cylinder stock, dry ice stock, uniform/laundry vendor scheduling, and waste management.
Maintain stockroom inventories according to the thresholds determined by customers stockroom manager(s).
Communicate with customers and/or shipping department to schedule inter-site and intra-site shipments of materials. Manage documentation as required.
Collect and consolidate hazardous waste generated from the labs. Maintain storage of waste according to customer policies and applicable regulations.
Where applicable, comply with all GXP regulations and documentation while performing services.
Collect and supply metrics as required by management.
Assist and participate in cross-training efforts for all applicable Lab Services duties.
Maintain a safe and clean working environment within the laboratory and office.
Complies with all JLL and client policies and procedures and adheres to JLL company standards.
Performs other duties within Lab Services department as requested by management.
Maintains open communication with the Lab Services and Facilities Management team.Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, DayshiftDesired or preferred experience and technical skills:
Bachelors Degree or Associates Degree in a technical field preferred; work experience equivalent acceptable.
Prior experience with inventory management systems, purchasing systems, and other scientific applications preferred.
Experience with CMMS a plus.
IATA, DOT, RCRA, and HAZWOPER certification preferred.
Previous experience working in a Life Sciences or Medical facility a plus.Required Skills and Experience
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite programs.
Must comply with all safety standards and policies required for site, department, and job function.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively work with management and employees at all levels within an organization, including customers.

Ability to multi-task and work both in a team and independently.
Ability to function effectively in a dynamic work environment.
Must possess a valid drivers license and complete appropriate training based on vehicles utilized where applicable.
