Production Tech 2nd shift

Job Title: Production Technician

Location: Rahway, NJ 07065

Hours/Schedule: 2nd shift (3:00 PM – 11:30 PM), some overtime and weekends required

Compensation: $22/hour

Type: Contract to Hire

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Production Technician for a 2nd shift position at our Rahway, NJ location. The technician will be responsible for the operation, setup, and monitoring of packaging or filling line equipment, ensuring that production requirements and quality standards are consistently met. This position requires some overtime and weekend work as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the operation of packaging line equipment to meet production goals.

Set up, operate, and monitor packaging and filling equipment, ensuring products adhere to specifications.

Perform material handling and inventory tracking using Hi-Jump RF guns.

Conduct in-process testing, inspections, and make minor equipment adjustments as necessary.

Maintain cleanliness of the equipment and work area, ensuring compliance with SOPs and cGMP guidelines.

Follow all safety protocols and maintain a high standard of workplace organization.

Job Requirements:

Experience running packaging or filling lines in industries such as beverage, pharmaceutical, consumer products, or cosmetics.

1 years of experience working with manufacturing and packaging equipment.

Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.

Knowledge of GMPs (FDA experience is a plus).

High School Diploma/GED required, mechanical education is a plus.

Must pass a background check and drug screening (start pending results).
