Medical Office Associate I, per diem

Principal Accountabilities:
Phone Coverage: Answer, handle, phone calls in a timely and efficient manner. Utilize appropriate telephone etiquette.
Scheduling: Using general scheduling guidelines appropriately schedule patient appointments selecting appropriate visit type/length of visit. May be required to schedule meetings for physicians.
Registration: Greets patient promptly upon arrival to practice. Accurately collects and documents time of-service payments.
Verifies/collects: demographics, emergency contact information, and insurance information. Correctly registers patients in system, including registration paperwork.
EMR: Accurately enters information into EMR. Uses EMR for prescriptions, phone notes, referrals, outreach, check-out, etc.
Required:
1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
Preferred:
1. Associates degree in medical office management, Business, or related field.
2. 1 year of experience in a medical office environment or relevant area.
