Data Scientist/Architect: Pennington

Genesis10 is currently seeking an Application Architect with our client in the financial industry located in Pennington, NJ. This is a 12 month contract position.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for translating the requirements created by functional analysts into the architecture for that solution and describing it through the set of architecture and design documents
• Will directly support the execution of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and model documentation and testing, including Generative AI POCs (Proof of Concepts); and POCs as they move into formal development for production use in Global Technology
• Responsible for the coordination of AI/Client Technology risk and control governance execution for aligned model portfolio and be responsible for the review of model development documents to ensure adherence to MRM Policy, Procedures and Template requirements
• Support model owners and developers to explore and find innovative ways to solve model challenges by providing analysis to support informed decisions and model compliance
• Interpret raw data to identify patterns and useful trends that provide relevant information for data-driven insights

Requirements:

• Possess a degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science or related technical field
• Deep conceptual understanding of advanced mathematics and statistical concepts
• Strong background in hypothesis testing, regression analysis, statistics, or probability, as well as experience creating predictive analytics and predictive modeling methods including simulation
• Hands on experience with deep learning architectures using open source languages like Python, PySpark, PyTorch
• Hands on experience with deep learning toolkits such as Tensorflow, Keras, Pytorch
• Understanding of the Hadoop platform (e.g. MapReduce, Hive, Impala, Spark, Flume, Kafka) and related Big Data technologies
• Knowledge of R or SAS
• Fluency with SQL on one or more relational databases such as Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, Postgres or Oracle
• Experience with model governance requirements; able to de-mystify AI/Client models to make them transparent and explainable
• Model risk management experience and knowledge of the MDLC
• Hands on experience writing data processing, data pipeline, and data models to drive information visualization and transparency
• Self-starter and ability to multi-task and efficiently navigate changing priorities and responsibilities under tight deadlines
• Domain Expert
• Proven ability to think strategically and execute tactically
• Excellent organizational, writing and interpersonal skills
• Proficient written and oral communication skills with stakeholders of varying analytics skill and knowledge levels

Desired skills:

• Advanced degree in Engineering, mathematics, statistics, computer science or related technical field
• Background in text analytics, news aggregation and natural language processing
• Creative research techniques that yield innovative results
• Six Sigma Master Black Belt or Six Sigma Black Belt certified (or equivalent)
• Strong facilitation and agile project management methodologies for data science/Architect

Pay Range: $63.68 – $71.68
