Job Overview:

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a highly dedicated Patient Care Associate for Barnabas Health Behavioral Health Center.

The Barnabas Health Behavioral Health Center (with Monmouth Medical Center Southern Campus Behavioral Health Services) constitutes a freestanding 100-bed acute care psychiatric facility which provides inpatient and intensive outpatient programs for adults and older adults diagnosed with psychiatric and dual disorders. Qualifications:

Required:

High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.

BLS (American Heart Association) required.

Preferred:

Previous nursing assistant experience or clinical experience from an accredited nursing program preferred.

Certified nursing assistant preferred.

Scheduling Requirements:

Day Shift, 36 hours per week, 7a-7:30p

Essential Functions:

The PCA is a direct patient caregiver who assists patients with activities of daily living and provides nursing care to patients.

Providing patient care, based on physical, education, safety, and related criteria, appropriate to the age of the patients in assigned service

Providing for effective and safe patient outcomes through practice, judgment and critical actions

Ongoing communication with patients and nursing colleagues regarding status of patient s care

Participating in collaboration of our patients plan of care from admission to discharge to ensure safe transitioning
