Job Overview:

Reporting to the Vice President for Cancer Services and RWJUH CFO, the director serves as the oncology lead administratively responsible for the oversight and management of professional and technical revenue for the RCINJ/RWJUH oncology service line (Medical Oncology, Surgical Oncology, Radiation Oncology, and Bone Marrow Transplant) in collaboration with hospital and service line leadership.

Qualifications:

Required:

Bachelor s Degree in Health Administration or Business required

Work requires 5 years of related business or administrative experience to acquire competence in applying general revenue cycle practices for both inpatient and outpatient services for oncology services.

A masters degree in a related field, such as business or health administration, may be substituted for experience on a 1:1 basis

Preferred:

Master s Degree preferred

Scheduling Requirements:

Shift working, 9:00 5:00 each day

Essential Functions:

Coordinates and directs the daily activities on two campuses of the Radiation Oncology staff to assure the accuracy of technical services and efficiency of the overall operation,

Responsible for and directing the administrative, technical and educational activities of the Radiation Therapy Department,

Establishes and maintains standard of performance which governs all department techniques and procedures,

Directs the work activities and programs of departmental personnel,

Establishes and maintains all department policies and procedures,

Develops technical and/or clinical standards of performance for all department techniques and procedures,

Standardizes processes related to treatment techniques and workflows across both campuses focusing of safety, quality and efficiency,

Ensures compliance to hospital policies and guidelines of regulatory agencies,

Prepares a variety of reports and maintains various records and statistics pertaining to departmental operations,
