Title: Quality Control (QC) Lab Technician

Location: South River, NJ

Pay Rate: Up to $21.50/hour (Contract-to-Hire, 6 months)

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM Job Summary:

Our client in South River, NJ, is seeking a QC Lab Technician with 2 to 3 years of quality control experience and a minimum 2-year degree. This is a 6-month contract-to-hire opportunity. The QC Lab Technician will ensure products meet quality standards through lab testing, data analysis, and equipment calibration.

Key Responsibilities:

Laboratory Methods: Understand and demonstrate proper lab methods.

Data Analysis: Apply scientific methods to analyze and record procedures, data, and study results.

Packaging Checks: Perform line checks on packaging and verify up to 100 batches.

Batch Adjustments: Recommend and calculate adjustments for 50 batches.

Raw Materials Analysis: Analyze incoming raw materials for 50 received orders.

Equipment Calibration: Manage calibration of lab equipment used for monitoring product and process characteristics.

Wastewater Monitoring: Monitor and record wastewater tank readings.

Product Development: Support scale-up of new product introductions from lab to production, and assist in at least one new product development project.

Compliance: Ensure basic security awareness, hazmat training, and adherence to product development processes.

Skills & Qualifications:

Education: Minimum of a 2-year degree required.

Experience: 2-3 years of quality control experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

Knowledge Requirements:

Familiarity with CGMP and FDA regulations.

Basic understanding of raw material locations and product development processes.

Hazmat training and basic security awareness.

Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.

Practical Skills:

Ability to perform line checks, lab verifications, and equipment calibrations.

Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills.
