Job Description
SUMMARY: This maintenance technician will perform all duties and responsibilities as follows:
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
– Oversee production floor
– Respond to maintenance calls (including PM checklists) as necessary depending on technicians skills and prioritization of the call
– Set up equipment in the automatic machines, manual operations, and other work areas per work instructions in area manuals
– Change punches and other tooling as necessary to maintain production
– Repair manufacturing equipment according to company protocols
– Complete preventative maintenance (PM) checklists and complete associate tasks related to checklist
– Identify reoccurring problems and provide solutions to reduce or eliminate their occurrence
– Maintain quantities for items tracked in inventory system
– Follow safety procedures in accordance with approved training, and report any dangerous conditions to management immediately
– Work closely with the Bagging, Roll Making, and Molding departments on the workflow
– Work closely with the Production Supervisor and Scheduling on the status of all manufacturing orders
– Basic quality assessment and paperwork sign-off

Job Type
This is a Contract-to-Hire position.
Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in Rensselaer, New York.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals, fumes or airborne particles, and may work with explosive materials. All PPE is provided when dealing with any chemicals or explosive material. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
