RN2 Community – One opening is available with the Mobile Integration Team for an RN2 Community. The successful candidate must be able to assist the MIT with supervision of tasks and daily operations necessary to support consumers.
Job expectations include but are not limited to:
Directing subordinate staff in engagement and outreach activities for clients in recovery. Assess clients service needs to promote their recovery Assess clients housing needs/issues.
Guide subordinate staff to assist clients with skills development.
Provide individual or group supportive therapy.
Provide crisis/walk-in services as needed.
Provide community linkages for additional services.
Responsible to complete performance evaluations as directed.
Function as liaison between clients and other community agencies (i.e. primary care providers).
Provide regular input into team discussions.
Provide operational guidance during MIT Program Managers absence. Attend facility or community-based meetings as directed.
Work with the Program Manager to monitor service efficacy, client satisfaction, analyze data and make recommendations for improvements.
Minimum Qualifications for this position include:
Current GBHC employee in an RN2; or eligible for 70.1 transfer; or reachable on the appropriate civil service list; or eligible for NY HELPS appt.
Open Competitive: possession of a license and current registration as a registered professional nurse in New York State; and two years of post-licensure clinical nursing experience. One year of this experience must have been providing direct services to individuals diagnosed with mental illness, developmental disabilities, addiction, or substance use disorders in a community setting.
Substitution: a bachelors degree in nursing may substitute for one year of general post-licensure clinical nursing experience; and a masters degree in nursing may substitute for two years of general post-licensure clinical nursing experience.
Valid NYS Drivers license
Preferred Qualifications:
Satisfactory work performance history and time and attendance record.
Satisfactory documentation as indicated by Utilization Review.
