Our Lancaster branch is hiring a customer-focused Teller to help clients discover products and services that fit their needs. Tellers are exposed to many aspects of banking and perform many functions, making the position the perfect place to start your banking career.

What we ask of you:
Address needs and work to solve customer problems through active listening
Learn and develop knowledge of Evans products and services to naturally match appropriate solutions new and existing clients
Successfully assist customers with banking transactions including but not limited to deposit functions, account openings, and retail loan services.
Work collaboratively with Branch Staff to continue the success of the Financial Center by fostering a positive and team focused environment
Consistently seek opportunities to creatively make something better

Maintain confidentiality while handling customer (internal and/or external) accounts
Experience and competencies:
Previous banking or customer service experience preferred, but not required
You pleasantly embrace change and demonstrate a consistent energy in achieving your goals whether through individual or team initiatives
You have the ability to consistently deliver customer service excellence
You demonstrate a self-starter attitude and take initiative and ownership in your work product
Comfortable using multiple computer software systems when assisting customers
Compliance with Evans’ policies and procedures, and Federal/ State regulations
This position is anticipated to pay a base rate between $16.50/hourly and $17.55/hourly. This rate does not include potential incentive pay and benefits paid for by the company which may be in addition to the base rate of pay. The base rate of pay is determined by factors such as required experience, skill set needed, business impact of position, value of budget oversight and people management, among other factors. Your Talent Acquisition Specialist will be able to answer specific questions you may have regarding the base pay range for this position.
Evans Bancorp, Inc. announced that on September 9, 2024, it entered into a definitive agreement to merge with NBT Bancorp.
