Aseptic Processing Operator

We are currently seeking a Aseptic Processing Operator/Turn Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong mechanical aptitude and possess a basic understanding of food plant Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), sanitation, and cleanliness requirements. Familiarity with Clean-in-Place (CIP) systems is preferred. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of good attendance and reliability, as well as the flexibility to work variable hours to meet production needs. Key responsibilities include operating and maintaining production machinery, adhering to GMPs to ensure product safety and quality, executing sanitation procedures to maintain hygiene standards, and following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) with precision. Basic computer skills for data entry and equipment monitoring are also required. While previous experience in a food production environment is beneficial, it is not mandatory.

Work Specifications – Responsibilities:
Responsible for food safety and quality
Must know where every processor and sterile tank is located
Must know where all check off sheets are and how to fill them out
Be able to walk the line from start to finish of 1 processor
To be able to change and fill out Charts accurately
Must be able to set up one processor to a sterile tank with all the appropriate configurations necessary.
Be able to sterilize a processor and sterile tank or tanks associated with the processor.
Be able to take all readings for processor and sterile tank
To be able to start and stop product on a processor
Perform a CIP on the sterile tank
Be able to CIP the raw product supply lines and separation of product on and off
Perform a CIP (Clean In Place) on the processor
Check chemical strength
Check and verify magnet and strainer cleanliness.
To be able to fill out all records for processors (processors trained on) accurately and completely including log books.
Know where all of the checks off sheets are and how to fill them out.
Knowledge of sterile zones for one processer and sterile tank
Be able to AIC (Aseptic Intermediate Clean) the processor
To begin to learn the position and function of valves.
Monitor for proper flow, temperature and leaks of chemicals
Perform safe handling of chemicals and use of safety equipment
To be able to fill out all records for processors (processors trained on) accurately and completely including log books.
Know how to monitor all CCP (Critical Control Points) and record on log
Understanding of HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points)
Must be able to operate one of the CIP systems (4,5,6,7,8,10,11,12,200)
To have developed a basic understanding of aseptic processing.
Keep processing equipment and surrounding areas clean and in a sanitary condition
Communicate production issues to leads and supervisors
Alert maintenance when equipment malfunctions and work with them to correct problem.
