Join our dynamic team at Endeavor Health Services as the Director of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB), where you will lead initiatives to foster a more inclusive and equitable workplace. In this pivotal role, you will drive strategic efforts to cultivate a culture of belonging, champion diversity, and ensure equitable practices across the organization. Your leadership will help shape our commitment to embracing differences and creating an environment where every individual can thrive. This is a part-time position working 20 hours a week with the potential to be full-time for the ideal candidate.
The Director of Diversity, Equity Inclusion and Belonging has primary responsibility for providing strategic leadership and administrative oversight for researching, developing, implementing and maintaining policies and procedures that meet regulatory body (OMH, OASAS, DOH, SAMHSA) and national CLAS standards as well as a range of successful practices for supporting a climate that values and prioritizes equity, diversity and inclusiveness. The Director will use evidence-based strategies to assist Endeavor in developing efforts in creating and sustaining a culture that embraces and promotes diversity and inclusion in their broadest meanings. Particular emphasis is placed on the development and implementation of long-term strategies and collaborations designed to increase the recruitment, retention, and development of staff that are of diverse backgrounds.
Responsibilities
Researches, develops, recommends, and executes creative strategies to foster the organization’s DEIB goals that were developed in recent strategy sessions.
Reviews current practices and policies, assessing and analyzing the extent to which they support or hinder the company’s diversity goals.
Collects and analyzes statistical data to evaluate the company’s population in accordance with diversity standards and goals.
Collaborate with the Director of HR to review, revise (if necessary) and together implement recruiting and hiring strategies to attract employees from diverse backgrounds.
Leads and directs agency DEIB Committee, to include collaboration with committee members on the development of the committee, agency DEIB activities and the annual required training.
Develops and/or acquires training and development to aid diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging initiatives as well as retention.
Research, develop and implement updated policies and procedures that meet regulatory body (OMH, OASAS, DOH, SAMHSA) and national CLAS standards.
Explore current trends and best practices for the delivery of cross-cultural awareness, and programs on diversity and inclusion.
Provides guidance to supervisory and human resources staff in developing objective performance and other employee evaluations and policies, as well as emphasizing the importance of embracing and building an inclusive, appreciative, and welcoming environment.
Maintains knowledge of diversity-related issues, legislation, and best practices.
Provides training and policy updates to colleagues, ensuring legal compliance of management and human resources staff.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
At least five years of related experience required with at least three years specializing in equal employment opportunity, affirmative action, and diversity programs.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills including proven dispute resolution skills.
Experience managing projects, including writing and implementation of policy and project goals
Thorough understanding of federal, state, and local equal employment opportunity laws and regulations, including in depth knowledge of CLAS standards and regulatory body requirements.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Salary starting at $33.00 – $38.00 per hour depending on education and experience.
