Job Description
Our Facilities Support Specialist plays an integral role in the overall management of the Bosch property located in Fairport, NY. This role is 100% ONSITE and full time.
The ideal candidate must be able to work in an environment dictated by change and shift from task to task with the ability to stay organized. Each day presents new challenges and you will strive to continuously improve our work environment with an emphasis on:
Prepares shipments for postal or commercial conveyance following Bosch guidelines as well as local and federal regulations for proper packaging, labeling and supplying supporting documentation as required.
Receive and unload incoming shipments, inspect contents per company directives, compare packing slip with purchase order to verify accuracy of shipment, inspect for damages or defects and deliver to associates in a timely manner.
Manage incoming and outgoing mail from USPS.
Maintain and update shipping and goods receipt procedures and records per legal regulations and Bosch requirements.
Supports facilities department as needed with tasks such as sidewalk snow removal and general building upkeep, conference room needs for special occasions, and conference room equipment support (A/V support and projector equipment).
Ordering, tracking and inventory control of various office supplies used within the facility and shipping department.
Supports HSE department with the creation and updating of procedures, spreadsheets, presentations and forms using Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point.
Responsible for participating on the local, onsite emergency response team.
Perform various administrative support tasks for the department.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required
Must be proficient at using Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and SharePoint
Must have prior experiences in customer facing roles.
Must have a service to the customer mindset and can handle and prioritize multiple requests at once.
Prior experience with shipping UPS, DHL, and LTL carrier is a plus
Certifications related to Dangerous Goods shipping certifications for DOT, IATA and IMDG is a plus
Must possess the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Demonstrates good interpersonal, organizational and communication skills; both verbal and in writing
Ability to operate a pallet jack for loading and unloading skids
Ability to lift and move heavy object up to 50 lbs
Additional Information
The U.S. hourly range for this full-time position is $21.00 to $24.00 USD/hour. Within the range, individual pay is determined based on several factors, including, but not limited to, work experience and job knowledge, complexity of the role, job location, etc.
