Responsibilities
2nd Shift – 3:00 pm – 11:00 pm – Monday through Friday
Production Technician SMT Set Up Support
HR135 – $23.95/hr plus $1.00 Shift Differential
Now Hiring for Production Technician SMT Set Up Support associate to support set up and various other functions at our Cranberry Township, PA manufacturing plant. This role will be responsible for the following tasks:
Precisely load and unload feeder, visually inspect and make minor repairs on PCBs exiting machines.
Load and unload reflow or UV ovens.
Retrieve boards exiting washer and place in ESD bags, bins or racks.
Operate xray machine to verify component count.
Interpret and convert SMT set-up sheets to Bill of Materials for proto-type builds.
Assist with assembly of moderately complex circuit boards and/or sub-assemblies requiring wiring and soldering as time permits.
Complete and maintain relevant paperwork and input information into the computer system. Stock all parts.
Perform Weekly/Daily cycle counts for short parts and/or maintaining accurate SAP inventory numbers.
Use and maintain inventory levels with Hanel Storage Journal along with Hanel Lean Lift. Adding new part numbers to Hanel System to store new components.
Proper handling of Moisture Sensitive components, so that material isnt damaged.
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements:
Ability to: solder to IPC standards. read and understand drawings and work instructions. understand standard units of measure. perform standard software operations including SAP. Strong SAP skills required. sometimes lift, carry, push and pull up to 30 pounds without assistance. concentrate for prolonged periods of time. regularly perform fine finger and hand activity / steady hand required. stand and bend for prolonged periods of time. effectively communicate with various levels within the organization including training of new associates and temporaries. work independently with minimal supervision. prioritize and organize work. Education and Experience Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
2-3 months previous SMT electronics or storeroom experience preferred.
Length of time required to become proficient on the job, producing work of acceptable quality and quantity is from 1-2 months.
Working Conditions:
Work is performed: in a production plant environment with limited exposure to elements such as dust, noise, or temperature changes. with moderate exposure to mechanical, electrical, fire, or other hazards. with limited exposure to fumes from epoxies, alcohol and solder. Required Safety Equipment:
