Heat Treat Group Leader

Ellwood National Forge Company has a current opening for a Heat Treat Group Leader. This position will be based in Irvine, PA, however from time to time maybe assigned to the Corry/Warren Plants. This non-exempt position will report to the department supervisor.
Essential Job Functions – but not limited to the following:
Assist in standardizing work instructions and detailed control plans for heat-treat.
Assist in the Cause and Corrective Action process to address heat treat related nonconformance.
Attend regular quality meetings and assist with improvement initiatives.
Manage product flow through heat treat to meet production schedules and on time delivery to the customer.
Provide details regarding department training needs to Supervision and the Training Manager
Schedule work for heat treat.
Ensure communication between Heat Treat and the Weld Shop
Support Company policies, procedures and objectives.
Uphold Safety regulations, policies, rules and procedures outlined in Employee Handbook.
Assist with safety talks/videos and safety observation completion for department.
Assist in cross training among all members of the heat treat crews.
Direct the loading of heat treat furnaces to optimize space and productivity.
Coordinate shipping of intercompany product.
Perform work in accordance with ISO Quality Management System.
Ensure that routes are correct when heat treat changes are instituted and make corrections as needed.
Assist with the execution of department preventive maintenance.
Communicate outages and equipment problems to the maintenance department.
Assist in tracking tooling inventory and replace depleted tooling stocks when needed.
Interact with maintenance department to ensure smooth operation.
Perform all standard heat treat functions as needed.
Maintain furnace calibration records.
OTHER DUTIES
Maintain working area in a clean, orderly and safe condition.
Observe all safety rules and regulations.
Attend all required meetings and trainings
Perform all other duties as required.
Regular attendance as scheduled is an essential function.
