Wieland is hiring a Cat Saw Operator. The cat saw operator prepares and utilizes the application of the saw machine to cut tubing to required size listed on specifications. Operates equipment safely per standard operating procedure and initiates improvement to safe operations as appropriate. This role is located at 200 Oliphant Drive, Duncansville, PA.
Starting Pay: 19.20/hr shift differential of $.40/hr on 2nd shift or $.50/hr on 3rd shift
Schedule:3PM – 11PM for 2nd shift; 11PM – 7AM for 3rd shift
Pay Schedule: Weekly
Responsibilities
Cat Saw Operator Responsibilities:
Maintains safe working environment by adhering to all safety procedures and policies including use of Personal Protective Equipment as required
Maintains effective communication with other employees, including supervisor/management and during shift changes.
Produces material within prescribed tolerances with focus on the “next customer” in a timely manner.
Performs set-up after analyzing traveler ticket (production order sheets) getting tools and gages for making proper machine adjustments.
Processes cut to length samples and measures to check cut length and squareness of cut.
Proportionately fills machine(s) with lube of proper mix, checks for burrs and replaces blades as necessary.
Cleans and returns removed tools.
Maintains a clean, neat and orderly work environment.
Demonstrates proficiency in the various tasks identified on the machines training evaluation form.
Cross-trains in other areas as needed
Attends meetings as required
Able to work overtime as business needs require.

Educational Requirements:
High School Diploma, GED, or other equivalent training as approved by Immediate Supervisor, Next Level Supervision, and Human Resources Department
Maintains thorough knowledge of equipment/machine specific SOPs
Demonstrates proficient knowledge utilizing measuring devices
